When Virality Meets Ethics: The James Somerton Plagiarism Scandal It   was   in December  of  2023   that  YouTuber Harry Brewis— known  more  online  by   the handle  Hbomberguy — uploaded  a nearly four-hour video essay titled Plagiarism and You(YouTube). The video  revolved   mostly   around  fellow YouTuber James Somerton, a  content  creator  whose   sleek   video essays  probed  queer  topics  in film and pop culture.  Brewis   averred   that polish was  concealing  something  worse . Somerton was accused of  plagiarizing  books, documentaries, and other  authors   consistently — copied   lines  repeatedly ,  gave  no  credit , and  posed  ideas as his own.                                  ...

  U.S Women's Rugby On the Move          A historic day for women's sports has arrived with the Women's Professional Rugby League launching its first ever season. They have a total of six teams competing nation-wide in high stakes gameplay, that is a must watch.  The rise of this league builds on the momentum that the U.S Women's Olympic Team started last summer. They were able to bring home their first ever medal and inspire those seeking greatness in the sport. This helped provide a professional platform in the sport inside of the United States. The six teams that make up the league are based in the following areas; New York, Boston, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco and Minneapolis.   CNU Women's Rugby: Growing Athletes and the Game Women's rugby is a sport that has been on the rise globally for some time now, and Christopher Newport University's team is making its mark with victories and teamwork on the field.  Women's rugby has seen massive growth in the past few years, with international tournaments and many local tournaments. At the collegiate level, teams like CNU's are playing a solid role in promoting the sport and empowering female athletes. The  CNU women's rugby team provides a platform for all women students to develop their leadership, teamwork, and overall rugby skills. It is also gives the women around campus a chance to try and learn something new. It is open to all experience levels, the team emphasizes personal growth in all of their athletes.  Marvel Madness The creation of Marvel and its expansion to a multimedia empire, is a story that is still going on today. To reach a better understanding, I looked into various media sources and will compare which does best in terms of sharing and providing information. The podcast shown above is titled  The History of Marvel Comics: Black Panther . Although the podcast mainly focuses on the story of black panther, it still does a great job providing information on the early days of marvel and provides us with a little bit of historical context. This podcast dives into the historical significance that Black Panther had as a comic book superhero. At the time Black Panther was released, the civil rights movement was spreading throughout the entirety of America. Stan Lee saw fit that an African American superhero be added to the mix, to show his stand for civil rights.
