They have a total of six teams competing nation-wide in high stakes gameplay, that is a must watch.  The rise of this league builds on the momentum that the U.S Women's Olympic Team started last summer. They were able to bring home their first ever medal and inspire those seeking greatness in the sport. This helped provide a professional platform in the sport inside of the United States. The six teams that make up the league are based in the following areas; New York, Boston, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco and Minneapolis. At the collegiate level, teams like CNU's are playing a solid role in promoting the sport and empowering female athletes. The  CNU women's rugby team provides a platform for all women students to develop their leadership, teamwork, and overall rugby skills.
